Writing
Deanna is currently working on a novel. Yes, she wrote it before the pandemic. And, no, she did not touch it once during the pandemic.
She did, however, write an article during Covid that was published in Dance Teacher Magazine. It can be read here:

Painting
Sometimes Deanna paints. When she does, it is of prewar buildings in Brooklyn, fire hydrants, orcas, and classic movie monsters (at the request of her brother).
Choreography
And, of course, Deanna choreographs.
Here is her latest work, a dance film she choreographed and co-directed with her husband, Derek Roland. Filmed at New York City Center, the piece features Deanna alongside twelve of her students.
